This months blog is quite short as not a whole lot happened in April apart from training. With a packed race schedule kicking off in early May, the main focus this month was to get in a solid training block before it ramps up.
I started the block with a 2 week camp in Monte Gordo, which went really well. I've also been putting more emphasis on my swim, especially after seeing it was a clear weakness in Quarteira.
The race block begins with BUCS Triathlon, followed by the European Championship qualifiers the weekend after. The goal for that race is to hopefully make the podium, which fingers crossed would earn me a spot at Euros. After that, l've got a few races in Poland, starting with a sprint distance in Olsztyn on the 25th of May. The following weekend, l'm racing a super sprint in Kielce, then heading to France for a French GP race in Albi the weekend after.
It's going to be a busy stretch of racing, but I'm really looking forward to seeing how things go after this solid block of training.
