It’s fair to say August had its highs and lows.To start The month of I went on holiday to Spain in which I did my highest hour training week ever at 30+ hours. My confidence in upcoming races was high knowing my training and form has never been better.

This carried onwards onto the ENG camp at the University of Stirling,1 week pre British champs .It was a good opportunity to explore the campus and get a feel for the place pre uni choices next year. Overall the camp wasn't too hard as we were tapering into British champs however we still managed to get a couple of good session in, and it was a great experience training with different people to normal.

Pre British Champs which was taking place in Sunderland, I was relatively confident in myself that I could put my best performance on the day, therefore was looking forward to the race.It was also slightly different as we were racing with the juniors in a sprint distance instead of a supersprint ,which was a nice change. The swim was a sea swim, therefore was a bit choppy but overall not to bad.I managed to get a good position out the swim being among the top youth b athletes(my age group catogary)and managed to latch on to he 2 nd bike pack( only around 10 seconds behind the first.)It all however seemed to go downhill when I started to feel dizzy on the bike around 500 meters round the course. It seemed to get progressivly worse to the point in which I desperately wanted to drop out, however due to the race going well and competitiveness , I wasn’t giving in.My body however decided otherwise and caused me to slump forward onto my bike ,however I managed to brake and reach for a barrier, and lower myself to the ground.I managed to get away with no injuries whatsoever ,however it was extremely frustrating as my body didn’t want to move for 20 min or so therefore couldn’t continue with the race.

This therefore lead me to loose my first place in the british super series rankings as of the grand finale being 1.25 x points, and dropping me down potentially out of the poduim. All I can do now however is forget about it and focus on the next upcoming race, such as ETU cup bled this Saturday and Europeans in a few weeks time.
